Privacy policy
Lyfe helps you log food, water and workouts and understand your health data. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: your Google name, email address and profile picture, used to sign you in.
- What you log: food, water, workouts and sets, check-ins, events (such as medications or supplements), lab results you upload, and your conversations with the coach.
- Google Health (optional): if you connect it, read-only activity, heart rate, sleep, body and profile data from your Fitbit account.
- Workout heart rate (optional): if you turn on live heart rate in the iPhone app, readings from your tracker during workouts.
How we use it
Only to provide Lyfe to you: showing your logs, charts and insights, calculating recovery and training targets, and answering your questions. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or share it with other users.
To understand what you say, photograph or ask, the relevant text, images and data are sent to our AI and speech providers (Google Gemini and Groq) for that request only. Food nutrition is looked up in USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts.
Google user data
Lyfe’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Health access is read-only: Lyfe never writes to your Google account. Access tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
Your choices
- Delete any entry at any time.
- Disconnect Google Health in Settings, which revokes access at Google. You can also delete the health history Lyfe synced.
- Email hello@christopherdahl.com to export your data or delete your account entirely.
Not medical advice
Lyfe shows patterns in your own data. It isn’t a medical device and doesn’t provide diagnoses. Talk to a clinician about anything that concerns you.
